Reddit is an American Social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Reddit has been devided by topic into called subreddit which is a great source for making an image datasets as well.

RIS Reddit Image Scraper

RIS has been created to scrape image from specific subreddit filtered out Videos or any non image data

Requirements

  1. Python3
  2. OpenCV
  3. Pillow
  4. Praw
  5. Reddit Account

Usage 

 python3 main.py
  1. Go to https://www.reddit.com/prefs/apps and create new Application
  2. Copy both client ID and client Secret as an Input in RIS
  3. Create an csv file contained all the subreddits you want to retrieve
  4. Select amout of posts to iterate through
  5. Press run!!!!
