Python is needed for the ECS certificate so Netflix is able to stream media over electron, you also need to use the castlab's electron release to get a ECS certificate.

Building

All major operating systems are supported being Windows, Mac and Linux though Mac still being in experimental mode you can expect issues there.

Problem: Only shows 'Browsing' 'In The Catalogs'. Does not update when playing any video. I've tried multiple videos, closing and then reopening Netflix. I've also tried waiting for a while, e.g. 5+ minutes and rich presence is still not updated

RPC does not provide up to date information

Rich presence fails to show the correct info sometimes and the time elapsed still continues after the video has been paused, I plan to rewrite the whole system made for it to have this function better, credits for amirasyraf#3338 telling me about it.

New mac version

Currently the last version available is 1.0.6 and the latest one is 1.0.8 there's a small issue with the widevine but it's relatively easy to resolve this.

There's a issue playing content results in a error code on the latest release of Discord-Netflix which is in experimental stages this issue only occurs on mac and linux and the issue is most likely connected

Updated Electron from v15 to v22!

Improved title bar (shown below)

Fixed several bugs and polished up npm package versions to the newest ones

The misplaced objects bug has been fixed

Tested and functional on the next operating systems: Windows 11, Ubuntu v19 and ArchLinux (Tested by Stux#3833) RPC not functioning on ArcLinux.

Mac version will release later this week after proper bug testing and making sure it functions well.

New Features

Added picture in picture feature (experimental and has a few bugs)

Some code adjustments and fixed some dependencies causing issues (did result in some downgrades)

Known issues & Bugs

The picture in picture button disappears after the controls are hidden for a brief moment

The current position of the picture in picture button is not optimal

There could be issues with the Mac version it's not code signed and it also displays a error message on my hackintosh

Implemented ECS binaries so that media works again on the Netflix wrapper.

Updated dependecies.

Changed electron-widevinecdm to castlabs-electron cause this enables to make the ECS license

I am working on making it work on Linux and Mac also but I cannot test this.
